Xinyue Zhang is an illustrator who lives and works in China. She earned a BA in Industrial Design from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. In 2020, she founded her independent studio-Sideway Studio, where she focuses on illustration and animation advertising projects. She is now pursuing an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, an experience that has allowed her to step back from her professional work and explore new forms of expression and her personal voice.

Xinyue's previous works are mostly digital, not confined to a single style, as she usually finds the appropriate form of expression for each project. Her work often combines graphic elements and bright, warm colors to convey a fresh and engaging feeling.
